Due to the replacement of a digital certificate on our WiFi infrastructure you may need to re-connect your device to the Diocesan WiFi network.
Below are instructions on fix the wifi issue that you may encounter when you are next on-site.
iPad Users:
For all student owned iPads and school owned iPads not enrolled in Jamf:
- Go to "Settings" on your iPad and select Wi-Fi. Select Diocesan and click connect. If it prompts for credentials, enter your Dio username and password.
- When you get a warning about a digital certificate click on "Trust" and you should re-connect.
- If you get an error, click on (i) which is on the right side of Diocesan. Click on “Forget this network” and try connecting back to Diocesan.
For school owned iPads - Jamf enrolled:
- Once you are at the school, go to Settings on your iPad and select Wi-Fi. Select Diocesan and click connect. Enter your Dio username and password. When you get the warning about a digital certificate click on Trust and you should re-connect.
- If you get an error, try connecting your iPad to a phone hotspot and leave it connected for 2 minutes.
- Select Diocesan again and enter your Dio credentials. Turn off your phone’s hotspot.
- If that fails, click on (i) which is on the right side of Diocesan. Click on “Forget this network” and try connecting back to Diocesan.
Macbook Users:
For Macbooks not enrolled in Jamf - applies to staff Macbooks and those student Macbooks not enrolled in Jamf
- Click the Wi-Fi icon
in the menu bar, then choose Diocesan. If it prompts for the credentials, enter your Dio username and password. When you get the warning about a digital certificate click on Trust and you should re-connect.
- If you get an error, click back on the Wi-Fi icon
and click "Open Network Preferences”.
- Click on “Advance”
- Select Diocesan and click on the minus “-“ sign.
- Click Ok then Apply.
- Try connecting to the Diocesan Wi-fi.
For student Macbooks enrolled in Jamf (a way to check is if you have the self-service app)
- Before coming back to school, ensure that you have connected your macbook to your home wifi.
- When you get to the school, click the Wi-Fi icon
in the menu bar, then choose Diocesan. Enter your Dio username and password it prompts for these credentials. When you get the warning about a digital certificate click on Trust and you should re-connect.
- If you get an error, click back on the Wi-Fi icon
and click "Open Network Preferences”.
- Click on “Advance”
- Select "Diocesan" and click on the minus “-“ sign.
- Click Ok then Apply.
- Try connecting to the Diocesan Wi-fi.
- If this still fails, click and open Finder from the dock. Click on Applications and double click on utilities. Double click on Keychain Access. Search for server109 and delete it.
- Connect your laptop to your phone hotspot and leave it connected for about 2 minutes.
- Try reconnecting to Diocesan wifi and turn off your phone’s hotspot.
For Windows laptop Users:
- If at the school you are unable to connect to the Diocesan wi-fi, right-click on the Windows button
and click search. Enter wifi and click select Wi-Fi settings. Click on Manage known networks. Click on Diocesan and select Forget. Close the window. At the bottom right corner, click on Wi-Fi icon
and connect to Diocesan.
