Switch between staff and parent views in the DioConnect mobile app

If you are both a Dio staff member and a Dio parent, the new DioConnect mobile app opens in the staff view. Parent functions, such as Student Absence reporting, are not on the staff Home screen. They are in the More section.

The app has a profile switcher. It lets you view the app as a parent as well as a staff member. The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.

Switch from the staff view to the parent view

1. Open the DioConnect app. The Home screen shows your staff tiles.

   

    

2. Select More in the bottom bar. At the top of the screen is a card with your name and Staff.

3. Select the card with your name.

   

    

4. The Switch User panel opens. It lists two choices: Staff with your staff name, and Parent with your parent name. Select Parent.

   

   Push notifications come to your staff account only, whichever view you choose.

    

5. The Home screen changes to the parent view. It shows a card for each of your children, the My Monitor, Absentee and Newsletters tiles, and any tasks to do and upcoming events. To report your child's absence, use Absentee.

   

    

6. Select More to see the parent resources. The profile card now shows your name and Parent. The list includes DioConnect, My Monitor, Help, Contacts, Permission Slips, Dio Shop, Community Events and Website.

   

Switch back to the staff view

1. Select More.
2. Select the card with your name.
3. In the Switch User panel, select Staff.

The app remembers the view you chose after you close it, so you stay in that view until you switch.
